A lot of changes have been happening at Farm Bureau Tech. Amidst the infamous pandemic that rattled all of our lives, we are finally able to proceed with in-person training for the remainder of 2022 and continue into 2023. We have gained two new instructional media designers, Sarah Dantone and Diane Fredericks, and two new instructors, Mark Poteat and Patrick Coen.

Diane Fredericks, Instructional Media Designer, Intermediate:

Diane is a native of The Philippines, where she studied Information Technology. Shortly after college graduation, Diane emigrated to the U.S. and began work as a Learning Management System Administrator with Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. From there, she served as LMS Administrator and Instructional Designer at Resurrection University in Chicago, IL. While there, Diane earned her Master of Science in Instructional Design from Grand Canyon University. Diane began her career with Farm Bureau on July 15, 2022 and has rapidly become an integral part of our team with strengths in instructional design and development, website development and project management. Diane is currently working towards her AINS designation.

Sarah Dantone, Instructional Media Designer, Associate:

Sarah is a 2022 graduate of Mississippi State University, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Upon graduation, Sarah started her career with Farm Bureau Tech on June 1. Sarah possesses very strong computer skills and even stronger communication skills. She has integrated well into our training design and development team consisting of herself, Trey Perez and Diane Fredericks.  Sarah is currently working on her AINS designation, having successfully completed the first part recently.  Sarah is a poised and natural communicator and we look forward to her future contributions.

Mark Poteat, Multi-Line Instructor:

Mark is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism. Upon graduation, Mark served in the Greenwood, SC Police Department as a Patrolman before coming to SC Farm Bureau as an Adjuster, then Senior Adjuster. Mark brings with him a strong background in property claims, casualty claims, and proficiency in auto physical damage. Mark’s command of the English language and strong analytical skills have been serving Tech well in course design/redesign and course content development.  Mark is currently working towards his Xactimate L2 certification, having previously earned his CPCU, AIC, and AINS designations. Mark’s diverse skill set is well-suited to a Multi-Line Instructor role where he can provide expertise to all areas of training.

Patrick Coen, Instructor:

Patrick is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, majoring in Business Administration.  Following a brief stint in retail management, Patrick began his career as an Adjuster with Mississippi Farm Bureau in 1997 and rose to the position of Senior Adjuster in the Gulfport office. A veteran of many catastrophic weather events, Patrick’s skills lie primarily in the property and casualty fields. Patrick has embraced his role as the primary Property Estimating instructor and has already attained his Xactimate L2 certification. While his adjusting skills are exemplary, his biggest strength is his ability to relate to his students and bring out the best in them. Patrick recently celebrated his 25-year service anniversary with Farm Bureau.
