2020 has been a year that most of us would just as soon forget.  You and your companies have faced challenges and changes that none of us could have very well imagined only a year ago.  We at Farm Bureau Tech have also faced many changes in the way we deliver training.  Thanks to the dedication of our staff and instructors and support and input from you, our customer companies, we have met those challenges head on to continue to provide you with the excellent training you have come to expect.

What’s different?  As the pandemic took root and began to spread, we recognized the need early on to begin preparing to deliver our training virtually.  Our instructors and staff set out to convert delivery of our basic claims courses to a virtual format that utilized a combination of live video-based training with targeted activities and exercises designed to enhance adjuster’s knowledge, skills and confidence in casualty claims adjusting and estimating.  We began delivering virtual training in our Adjuster Training, Physical Damage Estimating, Property Estimating, and Supervisory Management courses in mid-2020.  Our assessments of student performance and student-reported post-class confidence levels showed that the effectiveness of virtual training was virtually identical to that of our prior classroom-based training.

What’s not different?  Course tuition and excellent training.  Our course levels for 2021 will remain the same as 2020 levels.  Tuition levels for courses delivered virtually or classroom are the same as is our dedication to delivering excellent training.

Where do we go from here?  Unless you have a very accurate crystal ball, none of us can accurately predict when (or if) we’ll return to the normal, previous way of delivering training.  Due to this uncertainty, Farm Bureau Tech has elected to continue delivering virtual training in our three core claims classes and our Supervisory Management Training class through at least June 30, 2021.  We will continue to monitor conditions to determine how we will proceed with our training delivery for the second half of 2021 and beyond.

On this site, you’ll find a full roster of our classes through the remainder of this year and next.  Bear in mind that some or all of the classes scheduled to begin after June 30, 2021 may be delivered in the traditional classroom format at our training facility in Ridgeland, MS.
